Website rescue

Your website is in trouble.
We get it back on its feet.

Slow, hacked, broken after an update, or abandoned by the developer who built it — we take over websites in bad shape, stabilise them and bring them back to life. It starts with a free audit and an honest answer.

From old to new

Before and after a redesign.

Shtek House came to us with a site that undersold the work behind it. Drag the handle — the left side is where their story started, the right is where it is now.

Sound familiar?

The site is painfully slow

Pages take seconds to load, visitors leave, Google notices. Usually it’s plugin bloat, heavy media or cheap hosting — all fixable.

Hacked, spammy or blacklisted

Strange redirects, pharma spam in search results, hosting warnings. We clean the malware, close the hole it came through and harden the site.

The developer disappeared

No handover, no passwords, no answers. We help you recover access to hosting and domain, then take over the site properly — with documentation this time.

It broke after an update

A plugin or theme update took the layout — or the whole site — down. We restore it, find the conflict and set up updates that don’t break things.

Nobody can edit it

Every small change needs a developer, or worse — nobody dares touch it. We untangle the build so your team can edit content safely.

It undersells your work

The business grew, the site didn’t. A redesign on top of a rescued foundation — like we did for Shtek House below — fixes both at once.

What a rescue includes
  • Malware cleanup, security hardening & backups
  • Speed optimisation against Core Web Vitals targets
  • Untangling messy themes, builders & plugin stacks
  • Recovering access to hosting, domains & admin accounts
  • Redesign or rebuild — only when it’s actually needed
  • Documentation & a maintenance plan so it stays healthy
How a rescue works

Free audit

Send us the site. We look under the hood — speed, security, code, SEO — and tell you honestly what we find.

Diagnosis & fixed quote

What’s worth saving, what needs replacing, and what it costs — scope, price and date in writing before we start.

Rescue sprint

We stabilise first — clean, secure, speed up — then improve, with previews on staging so nothing surprises you.

Handover & care

You get access, documentation and a site your team can edit — or we keep it fast and healthy on a maintenance retainer.

Once rescued, most sites stay with us — kept fast, secure and up to date on a maintenance retainer. See maintenance & hosting →

Rescue questions

The honest answers.

Yes. We remove the malware, find and close the vulnerability it came through, reset credentials, and harden the site so it doesn’t happen again. If Google flagged the site, we handle the review request too.

Common situation — don’t panic. If you own the domain and hosting billing, access can almost always be recovered through the providers. We guide you through it, then take over the site with a proper handover.

Absolutely. Rescue and redesign are separate things. If the design works and the problem is speed, security or a broken build, we fix exactly that. We’ll only suggest a redesign when it genuinely pays off.

That’s exactly what the free audit answers. Sometimes a cleanup saves you a rebuild; sometimes a rebuild is honestly cheaper than untangling the mess. We’ll tell you which — with reasons, not a sales pitch.

Free audits usually go out within a few business days. If the site is down or actively hacked, tell us in the form — those jump the queue.

The audit is free. After it, you get a fixed quote for the rescue — scope, price and date in writing. Ongoing care is a flat monthly retainer. No hourly surprises.

Worried about your website?

Send it over. We’ll audit it for free and reply with an honest diagnosis, a fixed quote and a date you can plan around — whether it needs a cleanup or a fresh start.
